It's been over 10 years since we've been in touch, but I remember you from the Murrumbidgee Field Days at Yanco. You WOWED! me when you told me you were 'The Kite Lady'. Your love of kites turned you into a maker of kites. How extraordinary that is to me even today. It's so nice to be back in touch and I accept your compliments with much humility. I'm very outspoken and everyone knows where I stand on issues. But not everyone is as appreciative of my directness as you. The Eve van Grafhorst debacle incensed me. And still does. I couldn't understand why Australia didn't stand up for the rights of a little girl. But Helen Clark of New Zealand did an exemplary job of welcoming little Eve and her family into her country. I look forward to staying in closer contact now that we've reconnected, Lindsay. And I love being able to tell you to 'Go Fly Your Kite' and mean it as a compliment!
