BEVERLEY,

In appreciation of your 'special thank you', I'm publishing your poem. It's far too splendid to keep to myself. You are a woman of many talents! Thank you so much because I am deeply touched.

Take care,

CAROL

From Beverley:-

MY VISIT --- IN CYBER SPACE – with special thanks CAROL, FOR YOUR PHOTO ALBUM

Via the jet stream of a rainbow, I’ve landed at your gate
Where the Crepuscule Roses grow in such a splendid state.
I blindly stretch toward you, my tentative soft hand
In the hope that you will lead me, so grasp it if you can.

Can we travel the Old Roadway through the knolls and hills that flow?
To share with me your gallery; majestic views to show.
I grab this precious moment for to-day too soon will be
A yesterday, tomorrow, when my dream was real to me.

Please blend with me in spirit and guide me hand in hand
Beyond the wide blue yonder, your misty wonderland.
Past your sprinkling plums and trees, the Rosemary in hue,
The perfumes of the blossoms and your hedge of Icebergs too.

May we rest at your rotunda where magic weaves its theme,
And contemplate what good was done to earn this phantom dream.
Can we carry on meandering beyond the arcing bends,
For I can hear the panting of your three most loyal friends.!!

The names of numerous plantings, documenting, detailed care,
Old roses, wild shed beauty beneath your loving stare.
The Abelias, Jasmine, Lilacs; racemes Wisteria blue,
Lavender,.. and fragrant herbs when cooking up a stew.

There’s miles and miles of grassland where the sheep and rabbits roam
The cooling dam awaits its fill; next cloudburst’s teasing storm ?
Sweat’s heritage remaining; packed rocky fences born
Retaining sheets of colour, and spacious spreads of lawn.

Ohh swallows…little swallows !! (as a wint’ry story’s told),
They have their little eyes on you ! Oh aren’t they sweet and bold!
That sacrificial fable sad, through care it was, one froze !
He stayed too long to tend the poor, a statue’s leaves of gold.

Will we all sit down together before the twilight-fall,
To witness total glory in your sunset’s painted sprawl ?
From “pastel red to burgundy” aglow in all it’s blaze
As the song I sing will echo, to end this day of days.

So now I board the rainbow’s beam and bear SE degrees,
To get me home by morning by a headwind’s gentle breeze.
And when I wake to see the sun through my room’s window pane,
I’ll know a new day has begun, and I am home again.

Wow ! how heavenly. Absolutely "blown away" with the picturesque views; in awe of those magnificent colourscapes of plantings; agaped by your God given strength and perserverance; inspired by your wisdom, ingenuity, (and direct eye contact); entertained by your characteristic humour; and hoping that one fine day, I shall be destined to meet you, your Victor, and your three best friends. THANKYOU CAROL, I so enjoyed "stopping by !" Beverley.
