Roadworks Apron
The Roadworks Apron Covers All Of You In Style
Are you fussy about your apron? Many of you are.
The Roadworks Apron
Cooking and cleaning, gardening, your workshop, cellar door, your print shop, deli, cafe, unpacking stock in your warehouse, all cause stains plus wear and tear on your clothes. You start to wear aprons once you realise how well they protect your clothes from everything.
In fact, so many of you wear aprons, Google has 3,460,000 entries. With all those, why do we have an apron too?
Because a friend said he and his wife couldn’t find an apron they liked. So Victor designed an apron simply as a gift. But how do you make the same apron look good on a man with a large girth and his petite wife?

2 A generous bib has an easy to adjust neck halter to suit every size and shape.
3 The ties are long so that you can tie the apron in front, even if you’re well endowed.
4 It wraps around your hips and covers well below your knees, regardless of height.
5 There are three useful pockets across the front to hold anything from tools to recipes.
6 Simple, classic navy cotton drill is detailed with contrasting thread for a classic, stylish effect. The original denim fabric shown in our photos was discontinued in 2003. Since then, our fabric of choice is classic cotton drill. Same style and almost the same look, just a bit darker.
Did our friends like their aprons? So much so, they asked for more for their friends. It’s now one of our most popular products.
Why is it called the Roadworks Apron?
Because no job is too tough for this apron with style and substance.
What’s it like to wear?
Mine is a 2004 version, navy classic cotton drill, and I use it for everything. In the kitchen, in the garden, and to greet luncheon guests at the door.
I wash it every Monday morning and hang it out to dry on the washing line by folding it in half length ways, inside out. So it doesn’t get faded by the sun. When it’s dry, I hang it back on its hook in the kitchen, neat as a pin, without having to be ironed. But it’s now so soft, it moulds itself to my body and hugs me every time I wear it.
I love wearing it because it covers me from neck to mid-calf and goes behind my hips, where I wipe my hands. The baker’s flour now dusts my Roadworks Apron, not my clothes. In the garden, the mud stays on the apron and off my knees.
In the kitchen, I tuck my cordless phone in the pocket and a tea towel hangs out a lá London’s flamboyant and cheeky celebrity chef with a sense of fun, Ainsley Harriott. And I almost ‘dance with the saucepans’, along with Ainsley, because I play all my Motown CD’s while I’m making my breads, cakes and other delectables on Saturday for me and Victor.
Beverley says it best. She bought one as a gift.
“After trying it on, I loved it so much, I’ve kept it for myself”.
And ordered another for her friend.
At $35.95 plus postage and handling, it will become one of your favourite things.
As it has for Barry and Valeria.
“Barry thinks your all size (big men little women) apron is bloody fantastic…thought I’d let you know!”
